Women in the Field of
Emergency Management

Effective emergency management and disaster response requires the whole community to be engaged. What’s more – the emergency management and disaster response industry offers great careers across the government, private, and public sectors.  In “EM”, you can help people and make a good living.  Many career paths in this field have accessible entry points for people with and without post-secondary education, and there are many training opportunities and certificate programs.  There are also increasing numbers of undergraduate and post-graduate programs (many listed here!). Emergency management and disaster response jobs are increasingly common across our communities. From your local government to your local grocery store, from the school district to the major employers in your community. Learn more about EM, engage with our events and resources to find professional support, share with us and let’s learn together.  That is why WTFem exists.
